New open call on sustainability financing for river restoration

A new financial support is now available exclusively for local and regional authorities to foster environmental, societal, and economic transformation within the Danube River basin.

The Danube Region Water Lighthouse Action (DALIA), an EU-funded project launched its Rivers Revived open call aimed to drive positive change in water management and adaptation measures across Europe. 

During a competitive process, the project will fund 10 proposals from at least 5 different associated regions with up to 100,000 EUR grants

Eligible countries are: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Tunisia, Türkiye, United Kingdom, Ukraine.

The application deadline for the call is open until 16 October 2024 | 5:00 PM CET (Brussels time)
